City To Neighbors: Construction At Campbell, JRF Not A Done Deal
The City of Springfield is clearing the air about a proposal to improve the intersection at Campbell and James River Freeway.
Neighbors have gotten a letter from a nearby shopping center, claiming homes will have to be bought up to make way for a major construction project.
City Spokeswoman Cora Scott says that's not true. The process is nowhere near that far along.
"No decisions are going to be made imminently. This is something looking out into the future of what may happen in the area. There's still time for people to weigh in and provide input," says Scott.
Scott says a letter from the City is being hand delivered to the neighborhood that received the erroneous information.
Scott says a project consultant has three recommendations for improvements that will be presented to the City.
You can see them HERE and leave feedback for the City on improvements you'd like to see made to the intersection.
