Buffalo Mayor Says He Wouldn't Have Fired Police Chief
The mayor in Buffalo is helping run the police department after chief Sam Hartsell was fired this week.
Mayor Andrew Mead tells KTTS News the Board of Aldermen made the decision.
He says if it was up to him, he wouldn't have fired Hartsell.
Mead won't say why the chief was fired,
He has ten days to appeal.
Mead says one of the officers is charge of things like scheduling.
The mayor is handling the administrative duties.
