MSU Junior In Egypt During Government Overthrow
(Missourinet) - A junior from Missouri State University is in Cairo, Egypt during this time of turmoil there - and her mother is at home in Macon, Missouri.
Mother Diane Riley says daughter Ashley is not in the same area as the demonstrations and government area where a military coup has happened.
Ashley Riley is a junior anthropology major at MSU and was visiting friends when the president was overthrown.
Diane Riley says her daughter studied in Cairo last semester and is expected back home in about ten days.
Ashley Riley says she wants to return to Egypt after she graduates from MSU.
