Plans For New CVS In South Springfield Held Up In Court
Plans were set to break ground on a fifth CVS store at National and Republic in Springfield but now a court case has things on hold.
The majority of the new store would go where Burger King was, however a small sliver of land wraps around the property. AGI Acquisitions agreed to sell it to Price Property, a middleman.
After they found out it was going to be a CVS they cut off the deal, saying it would hurt their other clients.
CVS is hoping a judge will force a decision. They say they are losing $75,000 each week the project is delayed.
