Burlison Pleased With Privacy Committee

“I am extremely pleased that House Speaker Jones has appointed a bipartisan, independent committee to take a closer look at the Department of Revenue scandal that seems to have new twists and turns every week.
It is obvious the actions of the executive branch have not only violated the privacy of thousands of Missourians, but also eroded their trust in the way our government operates.
My hope is that this committee made up of lawmakers and members of the law enforcement community will be able to uncover the truth so that the people get the answers they deserve and we can ensure this doesn’t happen again. Their task will be much easier if the governor decides to finally take this issue seriously by assisting rather than hindering our investigation.”
