Plane Crash In Lamar Kills Pilot
The pilot of a single engine plane has been killed in a crash in Lamar.
Witnesses say the pilot had taken off from the Lamar Municipal Airport just after nine Sunday morning, and was practicing touch and go landings at the airport and crop dusting moves at the time of the crash.
The plane crashed in a field near Highway 160 and NW 10th lane.
People who helped the pilot say the plane was in good condition and the pilot was following proper safety procedures before the crash.
The victim's name is being withheld until his family is notified. He was pronounced dead at Barton County Memorial Hospital.
The NT SB and FAA are investigating.
