Republic Hosting Food Drive And Animal Adoption
REPUBLIC, MO –The City of Republic Animal Control Department, Republic Paw
Pantry, and Walgreen’s will host a Food Drive and Animal Adoption event on Saturday, April
13th, from Noon – 4 p.m. at the Republic Walgreen’s located at the corner of US Hwy 60 and
East Hines Street.
Bottled water will be on sale for $.50/bottle and residents may purchase pictures with
their pet for $1.00. All proceeds will be divided equally to benefit the Republic Animal Control
and the Republic Paw Pantry.
The City of Republic is delighted to make this coordination effort with Walgreen’s and the
Republic Paw Pantry for the welfare of pets. The Republic Animal Control facilities are located
at 907 N. West Avenue and houses animals that have been abandoned, surrendered or lost.

The Republic Paw Pantry assists low income families and those with extenuating
circumstances to provide pet food for a period of three months at a time, allowing a re-
application to be made at the end of each period. Residents may contact the Paw Pantry by
