CREATED Mar. 17, 2013
The Springfield Civil Air Patrol got a new plane this weekend.
The Cessna will allow the squadron to work with FEMA, and emergency
management during disasters for things like search and rescue missions.
Civil Air Patrols are an auxiliary of the Air Force, who will own the plane.
Last year they were credited with saving 54 lives nationwide.
