New Theatre, Storm Shelter Desired In Forsyth School District
Voters in Forsyth will be asked April 2nd by the school district to say "yes" to a $4 million dollar bond issue.
The money would be used to build a 9 thousand square foot performing arts theatre and storm shelter.
Superintendent Brent Blevins says its a no-tax bond issue.
The theatre would seat 500 and if needed during threatening weather, the storm shelter portion could hold up to 1,350 people.
Blevins says the shelter would have the same standards as a FEMA storm shelter, and if voters give their approval the building could be up in a year.
