The 'Safe and Sober' program, targeted at teenagers, is going state-wide reaching at least 150 schools this year.
Springfield Attorney Kurt Larson started 'Safe and Sober' years ago to keep kids clean during prom and graduation.
But Mercy jumped on board as a partner and now MoDOT is pitching in a $130,000 grant.
Larson says kids sign a pledge to stay drug and alcohol free year around.
This money will also help start a mentoring program between high schoolers and middle schoolers.
