Jerrod Niemann recently bought a bull from the stock of Back Seat Buckers, the official bull ownership program of PBR (Professional Bull Riders.) He has named his Back Seat Buckers bull “High Noon” after his new album. “I bought a bull, yeah. I liked him because he was…he’s kinda smaller, you know, and he’s got a lot to grow, kinda like with artists in their careers," Jerrod says. "So I’m gonna be there by his side, watchin’ him buck all those cowboys off. I don’t think I’ll ever probably care to ride High Noon, but I hope that he punishes everybody that does.” The bull is on track to win more than $100,000 in 2014. Any money won by "High Noon" will be donated to Jerrod's charity, Free The Music USA, which provides musical instruments to kids who couldn't otherwise afford them.

Johnny Cash is back on top of Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with the release of newly discovered songs he recorded in the early '80s. They were put on an album called "Out Among The Stars." Johnny died in 2003.

Brad Paisley will star as himself tonight (April 3) on Robin Williams' CBS sitcom "The Crazy Ones." As previously reported on Nashville Edge, the episode is titled "Danny Hates Brad Paisley." The storyline has Josh Groban's character, Danny Chase, hiring Brad to sing a jingle. Watch it on CBS at  9:30 p.m. ET/8:30 p.m. CT. See the trailer HERE.
Luke Bryan says he can't wait to get on the stage Sunday with Blake Shelton to co-host the Academyof Country Music Awards. “I’m just excited about the spontaneity and the fun-ness, and the crowd not knowing what’s going to happen," he says. "Everybody’s going to kind of be interested in and see what we’re going to pull off, and I think that’s what the night [might] be, real loose and fun. And we’re going to obviously have to be serious about stuff and it can’t be just a big ole goofy party nonstop, but I know we’re gonna enjoy it. I know Blake and I are going to work hard to make it a great show and represent country music, hopefully, in a great way.” Luke is a triple nominee at this year’s ACM Awards with nominations in the Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year ("Crash My Party") categories.
