Today's Outlook

Showers possible across the valley

Showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon as another push of monsoonal moisture will roll through the area.  Low pressure to the west and high pressure to the east will drive the surge but it will be short lived and most of the storms should miss the Las Vegas valley.  The best shot for storms looks to be the mountains and both to the north and east and south and west.  That said, we can’t rule out a scattered shower or storm in the valley itself this afternoon.  No widespread flooding is expected but minor urban and street flooding is always possible with these storms.  Temperature wise we’ll be very near our normal highs.  Regionally we’ll range from 85°-100° and we’ll peak at 95° in Las Vegas itself.
