Red Rock Resort to celebrate Mexican Independence Day
Red Rock Resort's Mercadito restaurant will celebrate Mexican Independence Day on Sept. 15.
Bursting with traditional Mexican recipes, Mercadito created a specific celebratory menu just for the occasion including Chiles en Nogada and Huarache Mexicano.
Chiles en Nogada is a classic dish of stuffed pablano pepper, ground pork, green apple, plantains and raisins with a creamy walnut sauce.
Huarache Mexicano is made of chile guajillo corn masa, black bean hash, cabbage, crema fresca and cotija cheese with choice of carne, pollo or pastor.
Mercadito partnered with the Tippling Bros. beverages to bring Mexican crafted drinks featuring La Gritona; tequila blanco, lemon and basil.
Other signature Mexican Independence Day foods are available for lunch and dinner as well as Mercadito's award-winning tacos and guacamole and ceviche side dishes.
Restaurant hours are from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
