A local tattoo artist is getting the star treatment by appearing on a popular reality show on Spike TV.
Cleen Rock One is the local tattoo shop owner/artist of Chrome Gypsy tattoo and will be competing on the show "Ink Master" starting Sept. 2 at 10 p.m.
Cleen is one of 18 contestants that will compete in various tattoo challenges that not only test the artists’ technical skills, but also their on-the-spot creativity, where they must create and execute an original tattoo on command.
Challenges focus on different tattooing techniques, such as shading, line and proportion, and styles including photo realism, Tribal, American traditional, and pin-up.
Cleen has 19 years of tattoo experience.
He will be battling it against 16 artists for a $100,000 cash prize, an editorial feature in Inked Magazine, and the bragging rights title of "Ink Master."
