Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Downtown Project wrapped up a job fair this week for a number of new businesses.

The Market, The Perch and Nacho Daddy were all looking to fill some open positions.

The Market is a grocery store and cafe opening this fall. The Perch is a new restaurant and bar opening at the Container Park. Nacho Daddy's second location recently opened in downtown Las Vegas.

"For us to engage so many more people as employees, who live, work and play in downtown and to attract people from all over the city, it's been a really great opportunity for us," said Kim Schaefer, director of communications for Downtown Project.

The two-day job fair was held at Gold Spike on Las Vegas Boulevard near Stewart.

About 500 applicants showed up.
