Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- How about taking the family to see "The Sound of Music" at the Summerlin library? Local kids are putting on the show with Broadway Bound.
The music is timeless, the production is an all time favorite, and the performers, some of the best and brightest in Las Vegas.
Actor Harrison Langford says," Nervous? Not really. I have a lot of faith in my cast. Some of the most talented kids I have ever met."
Harrison Langford plays Captain Von Trap -- a stretch this young teen is excited about. "It's different for me because I've never had a father feeling. I'm 16. But this show I've grown very close to the other children."
Audiences familiar with Broadway Bound know the caliber of their productions. If you haven't checked them out yet, you're missing something special.
Director Michael Vojvodich says, "We do 2-3 full scale musicals a year. We do them at the Summerlin library. We audition kids like a normal company would."
Kids rehearse on Fridays and Saturdays here at Summerlin One Dance Academy. Actress Suzanne Fife says it's a lot of hard work but worth every bit of effort. "Every week I look forward to it. It's so much fun. Broadway bound is a huge part of my life."
