For Famous American's Day, the kids studied up, dressed up, and came to life in their very own wax museum.
Inside the gymnasium at Calvary Chapel Christian School, there are famous Americans everywhere you look.
For weeks the older students have been creating PowerPoint presentations, younger ones creating costumes.
All of them researching a famous American. Administrator Laura Hyatt said, "Not everybody can sit with a text book and get history. Having history come alive in an event like this is priceless."
Younger students choose early Americans. Fourth Graders must choose a famous Nevadan.
Since older students choose more modern Americans, we were bound to run into famous people like reality-star William Robertson.
"I was Phil Knight." said one student. "The guy who created Nike."
No matter who the kids choose, the most fascinating part may be why they chose that particular famous American.
Calvary Chapel Spring Valley does this event every year.
