World Food Championships returning to downtown Las Vegas

The third annual World Food Championships are headed back to Las Vegas, and this time with a $100,000 grand prize.
It's all happening on Nov. 12-18 in downtown Las Vegas.
Foodies who attend the event will also enjoy an expanded lineup of events that is sure to make your tummy happy.
WFC will invite the champions from some of the biggest and best food competitions from around the world, featuring professional chefs and top amateur home cooks.
Following a tournament-style format across multiple iconic food categories, including burger, sandwich, barbecue and more, the WFC will culminate with a Final Table face off where category champions brave potential elimination in front of a live audience and a discerning panel of culinary celebrities.
There will be numerous ares that foodies can take part in that include the Downtown Chili Throwdown and Bourbon, BBQ and Banjos.
Southern Wine & Spirits of Nevada is the official wine and spirit partner for the 2014 event. In addition to featuring specialty drinks at key locations throughout the event, SWS will also be the presenting sponsor for the Champions for a Cause, a special event benefitting the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain health on Nov. 17.
