Early Sunday morning the Las Vegas team lost to Japan, but the guys all said winning wasn't the goal, it was about enjoying the game.
Most of the regular starters spent the game on the bench, allowing some of the boys who didn't get much playing time to enjoy the big stage.
After the game the players got a standing ovation from parents on both sides and big hugs from friends and family.
Coach Ashton Cave said this consolation game experience helped lift everyone's spirits.
The team is scheduled to fly back into Las Vegas on Monday evening. They are expected to land at about 8:30 p.m. at McCarran International Airport. The public is invited to meet the players and coaches as they enter the baggage claim area in McCarran's Terminal 1.
Coach Cave will make some brief remarks. Before that, Clark County Fire Station 13, where Cave works as a firefighter, will douse the aircraft with a ceremonial water cannon salute as it taxis to the gate.
