Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The City of Las Vegas has officially opened a new fire station to serve the Ward 3 community.

The new station is located at Bonanza and Page Street.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman was there for the ceremony on Wednesday, along with Nevada Sen. Harry Reid.

"Chief and everyone, Fire & Rescue, everyone that lives in this neighborhood, it's been a long time coming. We are so very proud. I am so proud," said Mayor Goodman.

The cost of Fire Station 108 is approximately $6.6 million.

The project was finished one day early, and $174,000 under budget.
