The Lazy Dog Restaurant & bar is looking for 200 employees for its first Las Vegas location in Downtown Summerlin. Open positions include all front- and back-of-house positions such as servers, bartenders, cooks, bussers, hosts/hostesses and more. Cowabunga Bay Water Park is now hiring more than 320 positions. The water park will open March 28 and is looking for lifeguards, ride attendants, guest services, cashiers, food service and more. General requirements include excellent people skills, reliability, flexible availability and a minimum age of 16 by March 1, 2015. All interested applicants should log onto the employment section of Cowabunga Bay website to download an employment application. Completed applications will be accepted in person between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays until March 6, 2015.,br>
MGM Resorts is hiring for more than 500 permanent positions at ARIA, Bellagio, Circus Circus, Las Vegas, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, The Signature at MGM Grand, and Vdara. A job fair will be held on Feb. 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Parking is available in the Self-Park Garage off of Mandalay Bay Drive. The Events Center is south of the garage. Hiring for positions that include but are not limited to banquet server, assistant executive chef, assistant pastry chef, assistant chef, assistant food and beverage manager, executive chef, beverage manager, guest room attendant, housekeeping floor supervisor, housekeeping manager, front desk, front desk supervisor, retail, security, massage therapist, spa/salon, and lifeguard. Applicants are encouraged to apply online or update their profile before attending the event. Bring multiple copies of a current resume. Interviews will be conducted at the event, and some applicants will be drug-tested and hired on the spot.
The City of Henderson is hosting a Summer Recreation Job Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28 at Whitney Ranch Recreation Center/Aquatic Complex, 1575 Galleria Dr. Individuals ages 16 and up are invited to attend and learn about available hiring opportunities, including lifeguards, water safety instructors, recreation assistants and senior recreation assistants. These seasonal part-time positions support the city’s recreation centers and aquatic facilities. Job seekers should apply online prior to attending. Those applying in advance may take part in interviews at the event. Lifeguard and water safety instructor applicants can also expect an in-water skills test. The minimum age to apply for a position is 16, and applicants under the age of 18 must have a parent present at the event. Those interested in lifeguarding positions who have not yet earned their certifications will be provided with information about the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training program, which is hosted at the city’s pools year round.
The College of Southern Nevada is hosting a career fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 3 on its Cheyenne campus, 3200 E. The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and Nevada JobConnect, in conjunction with Workforce Connections, has announced a job fari from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3 at Cashman Center in Las Vegas. Vegas PBS' will host the Hero2Hired/Green Zone Military job fair from 2 to 6 p.m. March 18 at Vegas PBS on East Flamingo Road. The fair is open to National Guard/Reserve service members, their spouses, discharged veterans and retirees to military-friendly employers looking to quickly fill entry-level to mid-management positions. Potential job candidates should wear interview-ready business professional attire and bring at least 10 copies of their resume. Employers with hiring needs are welcome to participate.
