The American doctor known for risking his own life to treat Ebola patients has died from the disease.
Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan treated dozens of patients in Sierra Leone.
Khan served on the front lines of what is now considered the worst Ebola outbreak in history, with 670 dead, primarily in West Africa.
He was recently hospitalized and quarantined. Health ministry officials said Khan died on Tuesday.
His death came just days after three nurses who worked with him also died.
