Russian President Vladimir Putin is at it again. Using a heavy hand of control, President Putin has now signed a bill banning all foul language from entertainment in the country, including live performances.
"According to state news agency ITAR-Tass, individuals caught using foul language face a fine of up to $70, while officials can be fined up to $40 and businesses nearly $1,400," reports CNN. "They face a higher fine and a three-month suspension of business for repeated offenses."
As early as July 1, new films will not appear in Russian movie theaters with adult language. For distribution, existing books, CDs and DVDs now in violation will need a "contains obscene language" sticker for sales, further reports CNN.
An actual list of banned profane words has not been made public.
