The sixth-largest lottery jackpot was just won in Santa Clara, Calif., and not only is the winner a mystery, but the store owner too does not yet know that he won $1 million for selling the prized ticket.

Kulwinder Singh owns the Dixon Landing Chevron gas station in Milpitas, Calif. However, he boarded a flight to New Delhi before the numbers were announced.

His nephew, Jay Singh, tells ABC News, "We found out through a friend. We were really surprised. We didn’t believe it until we saw our store on television, then we drove down here and there was a whole lot of media outside.”

Singh explains that after landing, his uncle "may not find out about the money straight away as he still has a four-to-five-hour drive to his destination town called Leudhiana in the Punjab region. He said that Kulwinder Singh’s son, Parmeet Singh, who also works at the store, will likely break the news to his father after he arrives," further reports ABC News.

The winning numbers of the $425 million lottery are: 17-49-54-35-1 with the Powerball: 34.
