Three residents remain missing at this time after an immense mudslide swallowed a huge tract of land near a small western Colorado community on May 25. The slide is reportedly 250 deep and expands about four miles long and two miles wide.

"The mudslide followed a day of rain and is located about 11 miles southeast of the town of Collbran," reports CNN. The town has an estimated 700 residents in total. No structures are believed to have been damaged by the slide.

"This slide is unbelievably big," Lt. Phil Stratton of the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, tells CNN.

The area is currently "very unstable," further reports CNN. The three men missing are locals who went to check out the slide out of curiosity and never returned from the site.
