Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The latest numbers from Nevada Health Link show 33,000 people have enrolled, but only 22,000 have actually paid for their insurance plans.
Those numbers are also well below the goal of 50,000 enrollees by the end of this month.
With just over 72 hours to go until the deadline to purchase insurance through the exchange, many people are looking for any help they can find after months of frustration with the state website.
Local brokers and insurance companies said they've been hearing the same frustration from hundreds of people who have been filling their offices over the past few months.
They are expecting those crowds to grow over the last weekend.
"Last couple days, the last couple weeks the volume has just gone through the roof. We had a big event last weekend and had about 500 people. This week we've had about 90 walk-ins a day," said Patti McCoy with Nevada Health Co-Op.
The state health exchange is preparing for about 10,000 people at a sign up event at the Cashman Center on Saturday.
If you're having problems, make sure you have at least started the process of signing up. This will allow brokers more time to help you complete the process after March 31.
"If they have at least made the attempt to enroll and haven't gotten through the process we can help them," said McCoy.
Those dealing with the exchange said with so many people rushing to sign up in the last few days, you shouldn't be surprised if the website is slow to load over the weekend.
The event at Cashman Center is happening from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday. It's free to the public.
