Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A kindergartner says he was forced off the school bus by a driver at a place that wasn't his stop.
Now the Clark County School District is conducting an investigation as to how this could've happened.
Clarissa Thompson said she panicked when she received a call from her father that her 5-year-old son Hunter did not make it home from school.
Hunter said he was riding the bus home from Katz Elementary when the driver made a stop at a day care center he did not recognize. The kindergartner said he told the driver that was not his stop, but he said the driver didn't listen.
"She ignored me," said Hunter. "She said get off the bus right now."
"I am lucky it was a day care facility," said Clarissa. "It could have been another house with somebody else. I don’t know. That driver put my son in danger."
CCSD released a statement reading in part, "The Transportation Department is aware of the matter and is conducting an investigation with the help of the student's parent and school administrators."
