Boutique owner responds to questions after store closes

By Michael Lopardi. CREATED Sep 18, 2013

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The owner of a bridal consignment store that suddenly closed said she plans to work with customers regarding their dresses.

Customers of Encore Bridal Boutique on Spring Mountain Road near Arville Street said they were confused when they showed up over the weekend to find the story empty. Some of those folks turned to Action News wondering if they would get their dresses back.

Action News spent two days trying to reach the owner. After our story aired Tuesday night, we got a phone call from owner Gretchen Gager on Wednesday morning; she said she had to close the store because of a family tragedy and is currently out of town.

Gretchen told us over the phone she plans to email customers whose contracts have not expired and work out something to compensate the customers for the dresses. She hoped to do so within about two weeks. She said it's unlikely the store will reopen.

The owner said customers who are trying to reach her with questions can do so by sending her an email under the "contact us" tab at: encorebridalandtuxedo.com.

Action News plans to follow up with the customers to see what happens.
