Action News helps woman with bad paint job

By Darcy Spears. CREATED Mar 4, 2014

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A Las Vegas woman recently reached out to Channel 13's Call For Action team after ending up with an expensive mess.

Phyllis Armstrong has always taken good care of her 2003 Dodge Stratus and was willing to spend $800 last January to give it a fresh look.

But when the job on her steel blue Dodge was done, Phyllis was seeing red.

She said many areas on the car simply were not acceptable and the shop manager admitted it need more work.

But after taking the car in for a second time, the paint job was not any better. She complained again to the manager, hoping the third time would be the charm.

But that time, the manager refused to do anything else so she kept the car a couple of months but hated the way it looked.

Phyllis thought about taking the company to small claims court but it was too costly. She tried mediation but go no where with the manager.

That is when she called Channel 13's Call For Action team back in December and got results.

The company gave her a new paint job.
