Wi-Fi on planes
Virgin America and JetBlue are two of the latest airlines working to get wireless internet on its planes.
A recent survey by Honeywell, maker of equipment that provides in-flight wi-fi, found nearly 90 percent of travelers believe airlines should provide wi-fi service.
Now Virgin America says it will roll out new service in the second half of 2014. And JetBlue says it will launch service this year, and hopes to equip all its planes by the end of 2015.
Southwest currently offers some live video channels as part of a partnership with Dish Network.
