United Airlines cracking down on over-sized carry ons

By Joyce Lupiani. CREATED Mar 5, 2014

(KTNV) -- United Airlines has announced it's cracking down on passengers who try to bring over-sized bags on board its planes.

Employees will now measure bags at sizing kiosks and if the bag is too big, it will have to be checked.

This, of course, means paying a baggage fee.

United said this is not a new policy, they are simply enforcing the existing rules on the size and number of bags allowed in the passenger cabin of their planes.
