Retailers avoiding price-matching
Retailers are finding ways to get out of price-matching guarantees.
A new report by the website, Cheapism, says shops are using careful wording and exclusions to deny customer requests.
Like, the competitor isn't local. Best Buy policy for example says the store must be within a 25-mile radius.
Also, is the other store an online retailer? Many companies only extend price-matching policies to other physical locations.
And many stores won't price-match if the item is advertised as a limited-time, limited-supply or clearance item.
