Tonight @ 11: Paying to park on your own street
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- How much would you be willing to pay to park on your own street? How about $200? That's what one HOA is charging some residents. Contact 13's Darcy Spears investigates how other neighborhoods could face the same fate.
"Why do people have to pay to park in front of their own homes," asked Chief Investigator Darcy Spears.
That's what residents of a Mountain's Edge Community want to know.
"It definitely isn't right," said Jack Nichols.
But the HOA says they're stuck and this is the only solution.
"It's just the design of the community," said Dan Bess, from the HOA board.
How did a design that compromises quality of life for residents get approved? We take our questions to the County.
"It's atrocious to me professionally that we would have let something like that be built," said County Commissioner Susan Brager.
