Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- There are some great medical professionals in Southern Nevada. And now the Clark County Medical Society is honoring them.
The public was invited to nominate nurses and non-profits that provide exceptional medical care for Winged Heart awards. In addition, both medicals schools recommended two students to receive Rising Star Awards. Ellia Ciammaichella and Zareen Choudhury will get the honors.
Dr. George John Alexander is the sitting President of the Clark County Medical Society. "We thought we should recognize the students. These are new awards. We thought it would be a good idea for students to get recognition from organized medicine and we would love for you to stay here after medical school. We need all the good docs we can get in Las Vegas to raise the medical bar."
