Young boy testifies in Saudi airman Las Vegas rape case

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An attack on a young boy in a Las Vegas Strip hotel room took center stage in a Las Vegas courtroom on Monday.

The young boy said he just wants to forget it ever happened.

The boy from California, who was 13 when the incident allegedly happened, testified he was raped by Saudi Air Force sergeant Mazen Alotaibi on New Year's Eve at Circus Circus.

On the witness stand on Monday, the boy admitted to the court that he told the defendant that he would perform sex acts in exchange for marijuana.

But what he didn't tell the defendant, was that he planned on tricking him and instead taking the pot and just running.

The incident allegedly took place on the sixth floor of the Circus Circus hotel.

The boy said he was waiting in the lobby for a friend when the 24-year-old defendant walked by smelling like smoke. The two then started talking and the boy said he followed Alotaibi because he smelled like marijuana and asked if he had any.

Alotaibi said yes, and then two walked down to an alley where they both smoked pot. The boy said he then followed him back up to his hotel room.

During this time, the boy said Alotaibi was telling him he wanted to perform sex acts on him, and was kissing and rubbing him.

Still, the boy said he went up to the room and ended up in the bathroom, "He pulls out his marijuana and puts it on the counter and then he starts talking to me. Then he's saying he'll give me money, starts saying that he'll take care of me and then he's saying he'll have sex for money. Then it started getting even weird, so I was in an awkward position, like I wanted to leave and forget about everything. And then, he started trying to touch me again."

The boy then said he was raped and managed to escape and run down to the lobby to tell a security guard. But he also admitted that he told different versions of the story to different people.

Initially he said he was forced up into the hotel room, but later said he went up there willingly. He told a different version to his grandmother because he didn't want to get in trouble with his mother because of the pot.

Alotaibi is facing numerous charges including sexually assault, lewdness with a minor, coercion with force and first degree kidnapping.
