Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man who fell more than 100 feet from the MGM Grand marquee sign, has pulled through two major surgeries.
That's according to his employer at YESCO sign company.
31-year-old Charles Schueler is recovering at UMC. He fell last Wednesday morning. He had surgery on his back and leg.
YESCO said Schueler will soon be out of the intensive care unit and moving into a private room.
"He's recognizing people. He's able to converse with them a little bit. He's still groggy. He had no major issues but you know, he got bumped on the head, so it's a little difficult for him to recall everything but he's doing really well," said William Ivie with YESCO.
According to YESCO, Schueler was working inside the MGM sign when the incident happened. They said some trees broke his fall and saved his life.
