Work on Harmon hotel building causing lane closures, restrictions

By Krista Hostetler. CREATED Aug 11, 2014

Traffic on Harmon Avenue west of Las Vegas Boulevard will be temporarily altered during overnight hours on Aug. 11-15.

The lane closures and restrictions will take place between midnight and 10 a.m.

Westbound thru traffic will be restricted to one lane. Access to ARIA's North Valet and Vdara's Valet from westbound Harmon will remain unaffected.

There will no eastbound thru traffic on Harmon Avenue. Eastbound Harmon drivers will not be able to access Las Vegas Boulevard between midnight and 10 a.m., and will be redirected at the fire house intersection to turn around or proceed to the entrance of Cosmopolitan.

In addition, pedestrian bridge foot traffic will be redirected from Harmon Avenue through ARIA during these hours.

All regular traffic patterns will resume no later than 10 a.m. each day. Plan ahead and expect traffic delays, especially during the morning rush hour.

The closures are necessary for crews to assemble and install a tower crane on the side of the Harmon hotel building.
