Witnesses give accounts of deadly Walmart, pizza restaurant shooting

By Stacey Gualandi. CREATED Jun 8, 2014

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police said at 11:22 a.m. on Sunday, two people entered a local CiCi's Pizza looking for police officers.

A witness told Channel 13 she saw a white male walk into the restaurant. She said he was wearing a tank top and  she saw him pull a gun.

Sheree Burns was held for three hours to give her eyewitness accounts to police officers. When she spoke with Action News, she said she is still dazed at what she witnessed.

She had just sat down to have lunch. The officers were sitting in front of her at a table. She said a man came in out of nowhere and she thought he was going to get a drink. She said he walked past her and then he turned around, pulled a gun on his right and shot an officer in front of her.

She said she was so scared that she ended up hiding behind some of the furniture in the restaurant. She didn't actually see the second suspect who had entered the restaurant.

Another witness told Action News she was at a nail salon across from CiCi's Pizza. Patty Rosales said after the suspects left she saw several officers arrive at the restaurant, come out with bloody clothing and bloody utility belts. She saw a female officer crying.

None of the witnesses said they heard anything uttered by the suspect, but police said the witnesses had told them the suspect yelled 'This is a revolution!'

Walmart is located about two blocks from CiCi's Pizza, which is located at the intersection of Stewart and Nellis.

It's unclear whether the suspects traveled to Walmart by car or foot.
