Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Westgate Resorts has acquired the LVH - Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.
The change-over will take place on July 1.
The LVH letters on the famous Las Vegas sign will be taken down on July 1. The marquee, topping out at 279 feet, is the largest freestanding sign in the world.
David Siegel, founder & CEO of Westgate Resorts, will be hoisted by crane up to the marquee to commemorate the removal of the LVH letters.
One of the largest privately-owned timeshare companies in the world, Westgate Resorts features luxury resorts in premier travel destinations.
Those destinations include Orlando, Florida; Park City, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Branson, Missouri; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; Williamsburg, Virginia; Miami, Florida; Mesa, Arizona; and Tunica, Mississippi.
