Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A new matchmaking website comes with a twist.
Mom Meet Mom helps new moms connect with each other to share tips on everything from fighting colic to finding playdates.
The website has become widely popular in cities across the country.
It's not easy finding new moms to connect with, especially when the friends in your life haven't had kids yet.
Allison Peterson and Ellie Dahl were both transplants to Hull, Massachusetts; Ellie was from Florida and Allison was from Missouri.
They were stir crazy at home with their young kids, and didn't know where to start when finding other new moms. That was until Mom Meet Mom became their lifeline.
"When you have a website that works and asks the right questions, the questions people want to know and the answers to then help you find the people you want to meet," said Allison.
The website creates computer profiles based on location, number of kids, interests and priorities, and then finds great matches.
Relationships are based on mothers who click, as well as kids eager for playmates.
Action News reached out to the company to see how popular the site is in the State of Nevada, "Las Vegas and Nevada as a whole are both areas we are actively targeting for growth in 2014. Our membership there is lower than it might be in other areas because up until fairly recently we were focusing our marketing in select test cities."
As the company expands its efforts in Las Vegas, it's expecting to see a "huge increase" in the next few months.
