Water pressure issues repaired at Lovelock Correctional Facility
Lovelock Correctional Facility experienced a water outage that began early Saturday morning, according to officials.
Brian Connett, the Department of Corrections Public Information Officer, said workers noticed a drop in pressure as they were filling the facility's water tanks. Their backup system also failed.
While toilets were turned off, Connett said the showers had low pressure and they allowed inmates to fill water bottles from them.
Potable water and portable toilet facilities were available to staff and inmates while the repairs were being made.
Water pressure was repaired by 10:30 p.m. on Monday, and functions are now operating normally.
