Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- WSOP.com will be the second entry in Nevada's online poker world beginning today.
The online gambling site from the World Series of Poker is scheduled to go live this morning at 9:19 a.m.
The site can only be used by players using a computer within the state of Nevada.
For the first few months, it will be operating under a so-called "field trial." That means it will be monitored closely by Caesars Interactive and Nevada gaming regulators.
The site will be fully operational during that time.
Station Casinos launched UltimatePoker.com a few months ago, becoming the first website to offer real-money play.
Caesars is hoping that what will set WSOP.com apart is that winners on the website will be able to earn seats in the real World Series of Poker tournament.
