Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Village Square is celebrating a major renovation this weekend.
Physical improvements have been made to the 250,000 square foot open air shopping, dining and office space complex located on West Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road in west Las Vegas.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at 11 a.m. on Friday. It was attended by several elected officials including Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager and Nevada Assemblyman John Hambrick.
The party will continue through the weekend. Highlights include an Elvis impersonator at noon Nov. 16, Cirque du Soleil-style performers at 1 p.m. and singer Taylor Hicks at 2:30 p.m.
On Sunday, the Faith Lutheran Crusader Band will perform, followed by dancers from Xelement Dance, Cashman Middle School Orchestra and Las Vegas Academy choir. There will also be a family friendly fun zone from noon to 4 p.m.
