Vegas Music Summit takes place this weekend in downtown Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Vegas Music Summit kicks off today in downtown Las Vegas.
The purpose of the summit is to offer musicians and others a chance to learn more about the business from industry leaders.
Industry panels will feature music executives from major and indie labels, producers, recording and touring artists, booking agents, promoters, attorneys and others.
The summit also gives performing artists an opportunity to be heard by those in the industry.
The weekend kicks off with three music showcases tonight in downtown Las Vegas.
Some of the bands performing tonight include Pet Tigers, The Dirty Panties, The Quitters, Bravo Delta, Jesse Pino, Runaway Lives, Tiger Sex and Me & Apollo.
The panels will take place Friday and Saturday and there will be additional music showcases each night.
All of the panels are taking place at the El Cortez.
Tickets for the music showcases are available to the general public for $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
