Unemployment rate in Nevada unchanged for month of July
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The number of people unemployed for the month of July did not change, according to the Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation.
The unemployment rate is still 7.7 percent for the state of Nevada. It was 9.9 percent last year at this time.
Clark County's unemployment rate rose slightly from 7.9 percent in June to 8.2 percent in July. The unemployment rates in both Carson City and Reno remained at their June levels which were 7.9 and 7.3 percent respectively.
The national average is 6.2 percent.
Nevada is still trending 44,600 jobs higher than July 2013, making this the 43rd month of continuous year-over-year job growth in Nevada, according to DETR.
