Trial delayed in Las Vegas biker gang stabbing case
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Trial has been postponed in Las Vegas for eight accused biker gang members facing conspiracy and attempted murder charges in a stabbing that wounded two members of another motorcycle club in June 2010.
Clark County District Court Judge Valorie Vega on Tuesday pushed back the trial date to Sept. 2 after hearing that the attorney for one co-defendant was ill and couldn't begin trial Feb. 3.
Prosecutors say the defendants were members of the Bandidos and the Down and Dirty outlaw motorcycle gangs, and the two victims were members of the Flaming Knights motorcycle club.
Police say the attack outside Mr. D's Sportsbar and Grill happened because the red and gold clothing worn by the Flaming Knights was similar to the colors worn by Bandidos and Down and Dirty members.
