KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP/KTNV) -- Authorities say a tour bus carrying 33 people was pushed into a wash before flipping over amid heavy rains in northern Arizona.
Mohave County Sheriff's spokeswoman Trish Carter told KNXV-TV there were no reports of injuries after the accident Sunday north of Kingman.
The news station reported that a multi-agency rescue effort was underway. Bill Johnston of the Kingman Fire Department told the station that the bus had become stuck in an area with heavy rain before it flipped.
The crash happened as Northern Arizona was hit with a second day of heavy rain.
The bus was transporting tourists from the Grand Canyon and was heading back to Nevada when the driver attempted to cross a wash with heavy wash flow.
The rushing water carried the bus about 300 yards before it flipped onto its side.
By the time everyone on the bus escaped, the water had risen to 8-feet in some areas.
Arizona officials are now deciding whether to cite the driver.
