Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Tivoli Village is northwest Las Vegas is growing.
Right now, there are more than 40 stores and restaurants at the mixed-use shopping and office destination.
But crews have just broken ground on phase two of the project, which means more stores will be coming.
Construction just started up again last week. Steel beams are just the beginning of this phase two of the project.
It's going to add 270,000 square feet to Tivoli Village. Most of that's going to be for retail shops.
About 70,000 square feet is for more office space to lease out.
The president of Tivoli Village said foot traffic has increased 30-percent each year since it opened in 2011. So now is the time to expand.
Construction of phase two is expected to be completed by spring 2015.
