Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Thunderstorms passed through the Las Vegas Valley on Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
"The skies were pretty dark. There was a lot of lightening. The wind picked up really good," said local Roy Rayburn.
The severe thunderstorm warning for the northwest part of the Valley in central Clark County has been canceled.
The showers were widespread, but hardest hit areas were in the southwestern region and in Henderson along I-215. Hail was reportedly coming down in the area off of Gibson Road in Henderson.
Although the thunderstorm is no longer expected to produce damaging winds, gusts up to 45 miles per hour are still expected out of this storm.
A flash flood warning was issued for central Clark County until 6 p.m.
Several crashes were reported around the Valley, including a rollover on I-15 and Sloan Road. The driver was ejected from the car and taken to UMC in critical condition.
McCarran International Airport was experiencing some delays, due to the weather. They advise all travelers to check the status of their flight before heading to the airport.
