Tennessee couple arrested for keeping adopted kids locked up

By Joyce Lupiani. CREATED Feb 2, 2014

Tennessee (KTNV) -- A Tennessee couple is behind bars after allegedly imprisoning their children for several months.

Will Cater and his wife Wylie Sue have been charged with abuse and false imprisonment.

The couple allegedly confined their three adopted children to locked rooms since last spring, according to investigators.

One of the couple's children finally called 911 and reported the abuse.

The girl said that she and her sisters were kept in a locked room while their brother was locked up elsewhere.

The only time the kids were allowed to leave was when they went to school.

The boy was found outside in an old trailer without heat or running water.

The three children are now in foster care.
